The 1st Wei Ming-Kuang Journalism Prize has received an enthusiastic response and widespread attention from the journalism community since the call for proposals opened. The organizer announced today (Nov. 11) that the original submission deadline of December 15 will be extended to December 31, 2025 (Wednesday), at 5:00 PM. This extension responds to strong interest and numerous inquiries from proposal teams and individuals. Applicants who have already submitted proposals are also welcome to update and resubmit their materials.

The 1st Wei Ming-Kuang Prize held its in-person briefing session on November 7th. The event was enthusiastically hosted at the National Chengchi University Center for Public and Business Administration Education (NCCU CPBAE) and was simultaneously streamed online. It successfully drew nearly 30 attendees from major media organizations and the field of journalism practice.
